Rajasthan is undoubtedly the most visited tourist attraction in the entire sub-continent of India. The main tourist attraction cities in Rajasthan are Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Pushkar, Bikaner and the Sand Dunes which is an intact part of the Thar Desert. This state is equally rendezvous whether you are traveling alone or with a company of your family and friends because there is just too much to see in this state that it will always keep you occupied. Itinerary - 15 Nights / 16 Days
On your arrival at the Indra Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, our representatives will be available to guide you ahead. You will be first taken for a refreshment and brief rest at your pre-booked hotel where you can freshen up and relax. The rest of the day is left for your own leisure and will; however, you chose to spend it. An overnight stay is pre-booked.
During your second day of the trip, after breakfast, you will be taken to a round the city tour of the national capital—New Delhi. It will be a historic ride around the city as Delhi has been witnessing the rules of various emperors, and from an era unknown. First, during the day you will be visiting the Raj Ghat, which is a black marble platform that is known as Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation spot, later to Humayun’s Tomb, a memorial of the Mughal Emperor Humayun built back in 16th century & a renowned World Heritage Site. Our next destination is going to be Qutub Minar, famous as the tallest minaret of the world.Also, we will be visiting the India Gate & President’s House, which is the official residence of President of India. You can again choose whatever suits you the best for the night, the arrangements are made for an overnight stay at a hotel.
By the morning we will take our leave from Delhi and depart for Mandawa in Rajasthan by a car soon after breakfast at the Hotel. On arrival in Mandawa, we will enjoy an afternoon city tour of Mandawa - A small town, which is adorned with many Havelies and temples. Later we will pay a visit the Fort - the terrace of the rugged Fort which provides a panoramic view of the town and will leave you to spellbound. Overnight stay at Hotel with some Rajasthani entertainment is arranged.
After a day of exploration in Bikaner, you will be driving to the city built with sandstone—Bikaner. Bikaner has a display of its history and the ancient opulence through its Palaces and Forts which are a telltale of the wealth and talent that Rajasthan possessed. All the mighty big Palaces and forts in Bikaner are made with red sandstone which made it possible for them to still stay intact centuries later to the day they were built. This city has the largest camels in the world, and is a popular research center for camel breeding and is famously called as the ‘Camel Country’. There is a very famous temple on the outskirts of this city which holds a very religious place, Karni Mata temple where rats are considered sacred. Thus, your day here will be filled with explorations of history and the magnificent Palaces. After your entire day of exploration, you will head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will be driven to Jaisalmer, also known as the heart of the Thar Desert. Your stay here is filled with eclectic camel rides and a visit to the most famous Sand Dunes of Khuri Village. The first hand experience of a real desert will be totally exotic and very exciting at the same time. Hence, soon after your arrival at Jaisalmer and a brief relaxation time, you will be driving to the Khuri village situated on the outskirts of Jaisalmer city. You will be returning back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Today will be filled with a lot of activities, an entire day for an exotic exploration of Jaisalmer city. Sightseeing will include Havelis and Forts known for their exceptionally carved and engraved fretwork, prison screens and the mighty Jain temples. Later we will be visiting the old palace of Maharawal painted extravagantly in Rajput style. In the late afternoon, relax on the Gadi Sagar, and explores the Royal cenotaphs at Bada Bagh before enjoying the desert sunset. An overnight stay at the hotel is pre-booked with a few classic folk entertainments arranged.
After your breakfast in Jaisalmer, you will be driven off to your next destination, the second metropolitan city of Rajasthan- Jodhpur. Jodhpur makes for a very popular tourist attraction in Rajasthan for its Forts and temples with an overlooking landscape to the Thar Desert. The view is to die for once you see it and realize the beauty of simplicity and sky without sky-scrapper buildings. This magnificent city is also known as the ‘Sun City’ because of the sunny days and of course scorching heat for its closest proximity to the Desert. Not just the sunny sky makes it a Sun City, its blue skies, and matching homes also makes for another nickname- the Blue City. The city when built was secure with several huge gates that still exist, but remarkably the city has out grown those gates and flourished outside the confining boundaries of the gigantic walls.
After breakfast, on your eighth day of the tour in the city of sun and blues, you will be enjoying a day full of historic places and unforgettable landscape. Here you are scheduled for a visit to the following places; the gigantic Mehargarh Fort, the Umaid Bhawan, and the famous clock tower along with a few marketplaces. Your overnight stay at the hotel is pre-booked.
On the ninth day of your trip, you will be going to the beautiful city of Udaipur; famously known as the city of lakes. The magnificent landscape of Udaipur is so picturesque and soothing that you will instantly fall in love with its luxurious vibes. For a little rendezvous adventure, you will be scheduled for sightseeing at the famous lake, the Pichola Lake. Later, you will head back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
On your way to Udaipur, you will visit a Kumbhalgarh fort and later to Ranakpur to visit the famous Jain Temple. Finally, you will be driving to the Udaipur city where beauty has no limits, a gigantic lake and a centrally situated castle along with the range of Aravali on the backside will make your stay a memorable one. On your arrival, you will check-in to your hotel.
After an early morning breakfast, you will be going to pay a visit to a dreamy palace- The City Palace which is located in between the mighty lake. Later that day, a visit to Jag Mandir, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir, The Jagdish Temple, Sahelion Ki Bari, and the Crystal Palace is scheduled. An overnight stay is arranged for tonight and tomorrow you will be heading to your next destination.
The next morning post breakfast you will be driving to the city of Pushkar known for its mighty temples. On its way comes Ajmer, where the Dargah of Moinuddin Chishti is situated who was known as the messiah of the poor. This Dargah is a globally recognized waqf, an Islamic Mortmain.
After the visit to Dargah, you will head towards Pushkar, which is a small town comprising of holy ponds, and temples. After your arrival, you will be taken for a visit to the famous Pushkar temple, and the Pushkar Mela, which is a flea fair. The overnight stay is arranged with delicious delicacies for dinner.
After your breakfast, you will be heading towards Jaipur- the Pink City of Rajasthan. After arrival, you will first check-in to a hotel and later in evening gout for a brief sightseeing. This will include visiting the market places for a traditional shopping spree. Local marketplaces like Johari Bazaar, Tripolia Bazaar, Chandpol market will fill your entire evening and later head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
On your next day in Rajasthan, you will be going to visit the magnificent Amber Fort which is situated atop Aravali hill range. An elephant ride will be arranged for your visit to see the fort.
Your next stop will be the very popular, Hawa Mahal which was built for the Royal women to have a view of the world outside it from its several hundred windows. It is remarkable to note that this excellent piece of architecture was built back in 1799.
For your next visit of the day, you will be taken to the City Palace, which is a telltale of Rajput-Mughal art and architecture.
The last sight-seeing of the day will be at Jantar Mantar which is an ancient Indian astronomical observatory and still holds a lot of importance in today’s astronomical advances. Later you will be driven back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After an early morning breakfast, you will be heading towards Agra, the city of Mughal emperors. On your way you visit the deserted city known as, Fatehpur Sikri although it is completely abandoned now, it was built by the famous Mughal Emperor- Akbar . After reaching Agra, you will check in to a hotel and take an afternoon guided tour around the city. This will include a visit to the majestic Red Fort made completely of red sandstone remarkably stands on the banks of river Yamuna, and later to Itmad-Ud-Daula’s tomb. Come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After an early morning breakfast, you check-out from the hotel and drive off to visit one of the seven wonders of world—the magnificent Taj Mahal. Its greatness will have you captivated and cast a spell of unforgettable sight by its beautiful landscape. Post your visit, you will be driving back to Delhi for an overnight stay there.
After breakfast, you will be driven to the International Airport, Delhi for your flights to onwards destinations.
