Itinerary - 10 Nights / 11 Days
Upon arrival at the Bagdogra airport or Siliguri (NJP) railway station, meet our tour representative, who will assist you throughout your journey. He/she will give you an overview of your tour on the way Kalimpong. It is also called the garden of Orchids & Nurseries situated on the foothills of the Himalayas and definitely, a green destination for every traveler. Upon arrival, check-in & take rest. In the evening, spend your leisure time and roam around the local market area, overnight stay at the Kalimpong hotel.
Today, wake up early morning and post breakfast get ready to start your sightseeing tour in the very famous hill station of eastern area Kalimpong, visit Phodong Monastery, Bara Mangwa farmhouse, and Kalimpong Delo Park. Later, proceed towards the Durpin Dara (hills) which portrays an ultimate golf course and the Zang Dhok Palri Monastery, cactus Nursery (The entire complex of this cactus nursery is surrounded by scenic views of hills and exotic colorful flowers). Drive towards Darjeeling, overnight stay at the hotel.
Early in the morning, watch the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill, followed by a visit to Ghoom Monastery and famous Batasia Loop. Come back and have your breakfast in the hotel. Later visit the Chowrasta Mall. Sit on a bench and relax here for a while, then complete a round along Mall Road. Walk up the Observatory Hill to Mahakal Temple from the Mall road and soak in the views and wonderful ambiance. In the afternoon, go for the 2-hour Toy Train Joy Ride. Visit Happy Valley Tea Estate, HMI & Zoo, Tenzing Rock, Ropeway (cable car), Rock Garden, etc. In the evening, take a stroll along Nehru Road through many shops and Bhutia stalls... do some shopping. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
After breakfast procced towards Pelling situated in the West Sikkim district of India. After arrival check-in at the hotel & take rest. In the evening visit Pemayangtse Monastery (a small section of beauty at the higher end of western Sikkim, The word Pemayangtse mean ‘Perfect Sublime Lotus’), Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, overnight stay in hotel
After breakfast at hotel, Drive for Full Day Sightseeing of Pelling and its surroundings - The routes are forested and the botanical and zoological richness is inspiring - Places of visit are Rimbi water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake (it is one of the holy Buddhist lakes and it is believed that any wish in front of the lake comes true, Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird and thus the water surface is always free of leaves), Kechopalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga water Falls, , Rabdantse ruins (the scenic view from the top of the ruin to the mystic heights of Kanchendzonga ranges is something to be cherished), evening free to roam around the helipad or Shopping center. Overnight stay at Pelling.
After breakfast, proceed towards Gangtok en-route visit Chardham (newly developed Pilgrimage-cum-Cultural Centre is built on top of the Solophok Hill in South-Sikkim), Samdruptse Hill (the 'wish fulfilling hill'), this epic hill is embellished with a giant statue of the Guru Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche). After arrival check-in at the hotel & overnight stay in Gangtok.
In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast & get ready to visit Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake is a glacial lake in Sikkim, The name Tsomgo means 'Source of water’. Baba Mandir (Baba Mandir is the shrine which was built at the Samadhi of Baba Harbhajan Singh), followed by a brief visit to the Nathula Pass which is one of the highest drive roads in the world and a mountain pass in the Himalayan peaks that co-joins Sikkim and China. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning after breakfast, drive towards Lachung which is one of the most stunning Himalayan villages nestled in the lap of North Sikkim. Followed by a short visit to the Yumesamdong, a valley on the Lachung River popularly known as the Zero point. Also, visit the Mt. Katao is amongst the most spectacular sights you can imagine in the state. Lachung Monastery has wonderful wall murals and also several ancient statues. Overnight stay at the Lachung hotel.
After having a delicious breakfast at the hotel visit the Yumthang Valley means 'Valley of Flowers that offers lovely views of the mountain peaks such as Pauhunri and Shundu Tsenpa forming the backdrop of the river Teest. Before entering the Yumthang Valley, a pedestrian pathway goes over a small bridge and reaches Yumthang Hot Spring. Zero Point (also known as Yume Samdong), Zero Point is the place which remains snow covered for most part of the year. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning, after breakfast move toward Gangtok. Check-in at the hotel, take rest for a while and visit Rumtek Monastery which is one of the finest monasteries where his holy Dalai Lama stayed for some time. In the evening, walk down to MG Marg, MG Road is the heart of Gangtok and its most happening place, the hub of Gangtok. A great place to sit on a bench and feel the carnival-like ambiance, some shopping. Also, walk down to nearby Lal Bazaar for more shops. Overnight stay at the Gangtok hotel.
After breakfast drive towards Bagdogra & board your flight for onward journey.
