It will start with the sightseeing of Guwahati, Mawlynnog, Dawki, Shillong, and Cheerapunjee. Make the most of your trip by stopping by at the viewpoints and capture memories of a lifetime.
Itinerary - 03 Nights / 04 Days
Welcome at the Guwahati Airport or Railway station. You will be picked up by our tour representative at the station who will drive you to Shillong, the capital state of Meghalaya and home to the Khasi tribe. Shillong has rightly earned the sobriquet of Scotland of the East owing to the rolling hills, beautiful scenery and climate. En-route Shillong, visit the beautiful Umiam Lake, a major tourist attraction located a few kilometers before Shillong. After reaching Shillong, take rest and spend your day at the hotel.
Drive from Shillong to Mawlynnong, a picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India-Bangladesh border. It is the cleanest village in Asia as listed by Discover India magazine in 2003, the modestly existing Mawlynnong has alternatively been known as God's own garden too. Go for a short trek of the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. You will then visit Dawki and river Umgnot, capture the beautiful crystal clear waters. Drive back to Shillong. Stay overnight at the hotel.
In the morning after breakfast, get ready to visit Shillong mountains and get a bird's eye view of the entire city of Shillong and then go to Elephanta falls. Then drive to Cherrapunjee, the erstwhile rainiest place in the world. On the way, experience the beautiful rolling hills, the flora, and the waterfalls, most importantly the Nohkalikai or Seven Sisters Falls, a seven segmented waterfall which falls from a height of over a 1000 ft. Later, make a visit to the Living Root Bridge and then drive back to Shillong and stay in the hotel.
Check out from the hotel and drive to Guwahati airport/ railway station for your onward journey home.
