Itinerary - 05 Nights / 06 Days
Welcome to Chennai. On your arrival, meet our representative at the airport who will take you to your pre-booked hotel. Check-in at the hotel and take some rest. In the evening, walk past the Marina Beach, which is a natural urban shore along the Bay of Bengal. It’s a pleasure to sit around and feel the refreshing breeze on your face. Also, watch the beautiful sunset, a fantastic setup where the sky meets the sea and spread all the rainbow colors for you to admire. Later, spend the night at the hotel. We will see you in the morning.
Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel, and get ready to explore Chennai, the beautiful city of south India. We began the journey by visiting Kapaleeshwarar Temple situated in Mylapore, a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the most visited places in Chennai. Then move forward to The Government Museum, a grand gallery which has the most extensive collection of Roman antiquities outside Europe. The trip is followed by a visit to Fort St. George known as White Town is another glorious landmark of the city. Later, explore the memorials famous in the town which are Victory War Memorial Madras Chennai, War Cemetery, and Rajiv Gandhi Memorial. By the end of the day, explore Valluvar Kottam which is similar to a temple chariot and is dedicated to the classical Tamil poet. Lastly, the Ripon Building, one of the excellent examples of the Neoclassical style of architecture in Chennai. Stay overnight at the hotel.
The next morning after breakfast, we explore the Kanchipuram Ekambareswarar temple situated on the way to our destination, Mahabalipuram. This temple is an example of the splendid architecture of the bygone era.
Also, visit Kanchi Kudil, this house is over 90 years old & its architecture resembles the olden style of designs. Explore the Vedanthangal bird sanctuary that offers delightful views of birds across the world. And finally, take a glance at the Mahabalipuram site, which is a historic city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We take you to Arjuna’s Penance which is one of the magnificent monuments of Mahabalipuram. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today we proceed to Mahabalipuram - famous for its temple and beach. We visit the Shore Temple, Panch Rath, Varah Caves, Arjuna's Penance and Krishna's Butter Ball at Mahabalipuram and proceed to Kanchipuram - famous for its crafted world-renowned silk sarees - a traditional home industry over here. Further, we also visit Vishnukanchi Temple.
On the 4th day of your journey, start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and get ready to explore more. Visit the Shore Temple, a brilliant example of rock craving, structural designs that can be only described as the poetry in stone’. Next, visit The Panch Rathas, five rocks marvel in the monument complex known for 'Rathas' or monolithic rock temples cut out in the form of chariots. Later, explore the Indian Seashell Museum, a grand museum for you to spectate. A short drive towards Pondicherry. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning after breakfast, visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry Museum, the Gandhi Statue (on the boulevard, Matrimandir Auroville). Chunnambar Boat House (known as Plage Paradiso is famous for its backwaters, and it's a popular boating venue), and the Ganesha Temple. Overnight stay at the Pondicherry hotel.
Next morning after breakfast, proceed towards Trichy after the arrival, travel straight to airport & board your flight for onward journey. Hope you enjoy your tour.
