Arrive Bodhgaya and meet our company representative who will assist you to transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
In afternoon we will start our sightseeing with Mahabodhi temple - temple, named after the Buddha, is a holy place for the Buddhists in Bodh Gaya, Maha-bodhi tree is considered as a holy tree since Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under it. Later we will be visiting monasteries of different countries and Archaeological Museum too. Overnight stay at Bodhgaya Hotel.
In morning after enjoying delicious breakfast check-out from the hotel and get transferred to the airport to board the flight for Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi airport our company representative will assist you and transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day is free to visit the temples and Ghats. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Varanasi.
In morning after having breakfast at hotel get ready for the half day excursion to Sarnath, the site where Gautama Buddha is said to have given his first lesson about the basic principles of Buddhism, it also houses deer park. It has been a premier center for Buddhism & has a rich collection of ancient Buddhist ruins & antiques comprising numerous Buddha & Bodhisattva images on display at the Archaeological Museum. Later return to the hotel.
In evening enjoy the aarti at the bank of Holy River Ganga - India is probably the only country in the world where river is regarded as goddess. This is a country where Hindus follow practices strictly according to scriptures, ancient scripts according to which Ganges came to the earth from heaven and started flowing. According to “Puranas” Ganges is the holiest of all the shrines on earth. Apart from men, even mean creatures like insects, carnivores achieve salvation in coming contact with the waters of holy Ganges. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Early morning get ready to enjoy boat ride on the river Ganga. Witness the daily miracle to unfold, as the Sun appears gloriously over the horizon. The sound of prayers and temple bells add to the gentle pink fabric of dawn. The formerly silent mumbling of ancient Sanskrit Shlokas (hymns) now rises, in one voice, to a buildup of unmatched devotion & joy. Return to hotel and after breakfast proceed to visit New Vishwanath Temple which is located in the premises of the Banaras Hindu University (BHU). It is also famous by the name “Birla temple” as it was constructed by well-known industrialist family of India, the Birlas. The New Vishwanath Temple is devoted to lord Shiva and is a copy of the original Vishwanath temple. The temple is open to people from all castes and religions and is built up of white marbles, and was planned by Madan Mohan Malviya, the founder of the BHU. The huge campus of New Vishwanath Temple is a real treat to the eyes of visitor. The interior has a Siva lingam and verses from Hindu scriptures are inscribed on the walls.
Later drive to Bodhgaya. On arrival check-in at hotel and take rest then we will visit Mahabodhi Temple and Loard Budha Temple Bodhi Tree: The present Bodhi Tree is probably the fifth succession of the original tree under which the Buddha had attained enlightenment. Vajrasana, the seat of stability, is a stone platform on which the Buddha is supposed to have sat in meditation gazing east, under the Bodhi tree. It is believed that wherever the Buddha put his feet lotus sprang up. Return to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Early morning proceed to visit Bodhi Temple and enjoy holy prayers. Return to hotel and after breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Patna en-route visit Nalanda - the center of one of the oldest known universities of the world, its wrecks shows that over 2000 teachers and around 10000 students from all over the world lived and studied here. The Chinese chronicler Huien Tsang spent long time here both as a student & teacher. An international center for Buddhist studies also functions here. Later visit to Rajgir which was the ancient capital of the Magadh Kings. Rajgir is an important place of worship for Hindus as the temple complex here is to the Sun God. Later drive to Patna. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Patna.
In morning after breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Kushinagar en-route visit Vaishali which is a small village surrounded by big banana and mango groves as well as rice fields. The epic Ramayana states the story of the heroic King Vishal who ruled here. Vaishali was earlier the center for trade and industry. Ashokan Pillar: Emperor Ashoka built The Lion Pillar at Kolhua which is a life-size figure of a lion is placed on top of the pillar. Here you will also find a small tank known as Ramkund. This pillar beside a brick stupa at Kolhua honors Buddha's last sermon. Bawan Pokhar Temple: An old temple built in the Pala period stands on the northern bank of Bawan Pokhar and preserves beautiful images of several Hindu gods. Buddha Stupa-I: The exterior of this stupa which is now in a broken-down condition has a plain surface. One eighth of the holy ashes of the lord Buddha were preserved here in a stone casket. Buddha Stupa-II: In 1958 excavation at this site led to the discovery of another casket containing the ashes of the Lord Buddha. Abhiskek Pushkarn (Coronation tank): It contains water which was believed to be sacred in the old days. The Lichchavi stupa is another site which is located nearby. Later drive to Kushinagar. On arrival check-in at hotel, evening is free at leisure and overnight stay at hotel in Khushinagar.
In morning after having breakfast checkout from the hotel; and drive to Lumbani. On arrival check-in at hotel and after taking some rest we will visit Pushkarani Lake: It is believed that this is the same sacred pool where queen Maya Devi bathed just before giving birth to Lord Buddha. Sacred Garden: The main attraction of Lumbini, which is spread over 8sq km, possessing all the treasures of the historic area. Mayadevi Temple: The Mayadevi temple is the main attraction for pilgrims and archaeologists as it is the place where Lord Buddha’s mother gave birth to him. Ashoka Pillar: Emperor Ashoka established the pillar in 249 BC to memorialize his pilgrimage to the sacred site. Later drive to chitwan. On arrival check in at hotel and Overnight stay at hotel.
In morning after having breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Sravasti en-route visit Berdpur: convent and stupa in no man land between India and Nepal. Later visit Kapilavastu: The village has a spiritual charm, the magic of which can be felt via devoted mind and dedication. However, even for mere archaeological reasons, this is the place where you will find many stupas scattered around, built by Ashoka and the Gupta Kings. The symbols left behind by the Sakya dynasty are clearly visible here; moreover, there are relics of Lord Buddha himself. On arrival check in at hotel and evening is free to explore the city, and overnight stay at hotel.
In morning after having breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to visit to Maheth: covers an area of about 400 acres, and has been identified with the remains of the city. Diggings have exposed the massive gates of the city, ramparts and also the ruins of other constructions which testify to the wealth of ancient Sravasti. The Sobhanath Temple is located here. Pakki Kuti and Kacchi Kuti were probably considered as Buddhist shrines earlier before they were converted into Brahmanical temples. Saheth: covers an area of 32 acres, and lies about a quarter of a mile to the south - west of Maheth. This was the site of the Jetavana monastery. This became a vital place of pilgrimage, adorned with numerous shrines, stupas and monasteries. The stupas belong mostly to the Kushana period, while the temples are designed in the Gupta style. A massive statue of the Buddha was also found here which is now well-kept in the Indian Museum at Calcutta. Later drive to Lucknow. On arrival check in at hotel and rest of the day is at leisure to explore the local sightseeing. Overnight stay at hotel.
In morning after breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Lucknow airport to take the flight for Delhi. On arrival at airport our company representative will assist you and transfer you to the hotel. After refreshment get ready to start the Delhi Sightseeing tour. Visit the Jama Masjid, Red Fort, India Gate, Parliament House, President Palace; after completing the full day sightseeing tour, in evening return to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
In morning after breakfast enjoy the remaining sightseeing tour of Delhi. Visit at Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, Lotus Temple and Akshardham temple. In evening return to the hotel and take rest. Overnight stay at the hotel.
